New feature: the Random Split, which allows Batch users to divide their contacts into random groups in the Automation Builder.
Following on from the Yes/No Split feature that leverages Profile data, this algorithm-based marketing automation release expands marketers’ testing capabilities.
Use Cases
This Random Split feature enables two main use cases for marketers: multi-dimensions testing capabilities and a new implementation of control group logic.
Testing capabilities
Brands can now split audiences into two, three, or four parts and test different types of elements:
- Series of messages;
- Delays/times of sending;
- Content;
- Channels, etc.
Control group logic
Control group logic refers to comparing a segment of an audience that does not receive a particular action with those that do, in order to measure the effect of that treatment.
In the case of Batch’s Random Split: you can, for instance, implement control group logic by setting aside a minority portion of your audience (say 5%) for exposure to basic messages in your Welcome Program sequence, allowing you to measure its impact compared to the fully personalised experiences proposed to the majority (95%).
Feature Plan & Pricing
All Batch customers with an Omnichannel license can use this feature at no extra cost with automatic activation.
