This quarter, our product team set out to answer four very concrete questions you've been asking us:
Can you run your campaigns in plain language?
Can you prove what your campaigns actually earn?
How do you get every email right before you hit send?
How do you collect customer data without a third-party tool?
The answer: four new features, plus a few more to help you get more out of your data.
Talk to Batch like you would to a colleague
Comparing performance across two weeks, figuring out how to revive your reactivation journeys, building a new one from scratch: until now, each of these took time. Our Conversational Agent now gives you the answer right inside Batch, in your language, with access to the same data and the same permissions as you.
Conversational Agent
In a single conversation, you can ask it to:
Check your performance: revenue, clicks, breakdown by label, from whatever angle matters to you
Find an orchestration by name, type, status or channel, or just describe what it does: "Show me the orchestrations that re-engage my users"
Break down a strategy: it walks you through it, spots mistakes, suggests improvements and compares different approaches
Answer your product questions based on the Batch documentation, with a link to the source page
Build your orchestrations: campaigns, triggered automations, In-App messages and more
You stay in control: the agent does the prep work, you review and approve it in the dashboard.
Want to give it a try? The Conversational Agent is in Alpha and gradually rolling out. Reach out to your CSM to learn more.
See what your campaigns really bring in
One of your campaigns shows an 8% conversion rate. Good news? Probably. But some of those customers might have bought anyway, message or not.
That gap is exactly what Control Group, the most requested feature on our roadmap, now measures.
Here's how it works. For each marketing campaign, you hold back part of your audience (we recommend around 10%, up to 20%) and that group receives nothing. Batch then compares conversions and revenue between the profiles who got the message and those who didn't. You no longer just know which variant wins: you know whether the campaign actually created value.
Control Group
With Control Group, you can:
Isolate the real impact of a promotion by separating the sales it drove from the ones that would have happened anyway
Measure the effect of a resubscription or reactivation campaign by comparing people who received it with people who didn't
Take your A/B tests further: pick the winning variant, then check it against an unexposed group to confirm it makes a real difference
Turn on the control group and Batch handles the rest. Its size, conversions and revenue show up automatically everywhere: in your analytics, your CSV exports and the Batch APIs.
The result? Next time you meet your CFO, you're not showing a click-through rate. You're showing incremental revenue.
Get every email right before you hit send
A broken link, an oversized image, a subject line that runs too long, a CTA that falls flat: an email's quality comes down to dozens of details, and checking them all before every send is hard.
Email Quality Assistant is an agent that reviews your emails right inside Batch. It flags anything that could hurt their performance, deliverability, accessibility or compliance. Its recommendations are ranked by severity, and some can be applied in a single click.
Email Quality Assistant
It checks:
Deliverability and compliance: email size, links, unsubscribe link, postal address, spam trigger words
Content: subject line and preheader, spelling, consistency, personalization, CTA relevance, persuasiveness
Design and accessibility: contrast, alt text, font sizes, image sizes
The analysis adapts to the type of message, so an order confirmation isn't judged like a promotional campaign. It also shows the estimated reading time and where your email is likely to land: inbox, Promotions tab or spam.
Your teams don't always have time to run through a checklist before every send. Email Quality Assistant does it for them. It checks and advises, but it never blocks a send.
Collect customer data without extra tools
Until now, capturing a sign-up or a piece of customer information meant using a form or an external tool.
You can now build and host your Landing Pages and forms right in Batch, with the same visual editor you use for In-App messages and no coding required. Batch identifies each visitor by their email address or phone number. If the profile already exists, it gets enriched. If not, a new one is created.
Landing Pages
In practice, you can:
Grow your subscriber base by signing up new newsletter subscribers via email or SMS
Manage event registrations for a webinar, a store opening or a conference, all in one place
Run a contest or giveaway by collecting entries and publishing the rules on a dedicated page
Enrich your customer profiles with self-reported information, like a customer's favorite store
Everything submitted instantly becomes profile data. It feeds your segments and scenarios, so an attribute change can trigger a confirmation message or kick off a journey.
This first version supports text, email and phone fields. Dropdown lists, hidden attributes and pre-filled pages for known profiles are coming in future releases.
More ways to get the most out of your data
Target customers based on how much they spend
Event targeting gets three new aggregation functions: Total, Average and Max. What a customer spent over 6 months, their average order value or their biggest purchase become direct targeting criteria, recalculated for each profile at every run.
No more static segments or syncs from your data warehouse, and RFM (recency, frequency, monetary) scoring is now native.
Connect Redshift, Databricks and SQL Server to Cloud Sync
Cloud Sync now supports Amazon Redshift, Databricks and Microsoft SQL Server (Microsoft Fabric compatible), alongside Snowflake, BigQuery and ClickHouse.
Sync your profile attributes and events straight from your data warehouse. The new sources are already live, with nothing to turn on. And if something's misconfigured, a clear error message now shows up right below the field in question.
Segment by country and language
Batch automatically detects each user's country and language. Both can now be used as targeting criteria in your Segments and subgroups.
Mix and match them with your other criteria, for example to target French-speaking customers in Belgium who made a purchase in the last 30 days.
Every quarter, our goal stays the same: take operational work off your CRM team's plate and give them a clearer view of what's really happening in their campaigns. These updates are a step in that direction.
